O Serviço de Imunoalergologia desenvolve atividade científica em coloração com Clínica Universitária de Imunoalergologia, Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de Lisboa (FMUL), conta com 3 doutorados (Professores Manuel Branco Ferreira, Susana Lopes da Siva e Joana caiado) e 1 estudante de doutoramento (Joana Cosme). O Prof. Doutor Manuel Branco Ferreira é o atual Diretor da Clínica Universitária de Imunoalergologia e regente da cadeira de Imunoalergologia desta mesma faculdade. A atividade laboratorial de investigação na área de imunoalergologia desenvolve-se no Laboratório de Imunologia Clínica da FMUL/GIMM/CAML e é coordenada Profª. Doutora Susana Lopes da Silva.
As principais áreas de investigação científica do serviço são: alergia respiratória, alergénios e imunoterapia com alergénios, alergia a veneno de himenópteros, alergia alimentar e fármacos, angioedema hereditário, eczema atópico, esofagite eosinofílica, urticária e imunodeficiências primárias.
O Serviço conta com a colaboração do Centro de Investigação Clínica da FMUL/CAML em alguns projetos de investigação.
